Few days back my mother wanted some new add-ons on her computer. She has a Dell computer which I guess she has been using it for ages. So I told her that I will do it for her. I downloaded some of the firefox add-ons and extensions for her to make it easy for her. While downloading one thing which was really annoying was that it was showing the list of the previous downloads. In one way it is a good thing… you can search through the items downloaded. But on the other hand it is a computer security issue... clearing your private data before anyone can access that. The most important thing is if you have a shared computer or laptop, privacy and PC security may very well be the main concern. But changing some of the settings can certainly help.
Open Firefox and click on Tools \ Options and then the Privacy tab. Under Private Data check the box “Always clear my private data….” and uncheck “Ask me before clearing …” then click on the Setting button.
In the Clear Private Data box check “Download History” and any other download add-on you might have which appears. And then click OK.
Finally while still in Options, click on the Main tab and under Downloads, uncheck “Show the Downloads window …” and click OK to get out of options and accept all the changes.
Now you will not see the Download box pop up and every time you close out of Firefox all download history is cleared.
It is really very simple… do give it a try... if you are not able to do it or if you have any other technical problem with computers, laptops, virus removal, spyware issues, digital camera, printer, scanner…, give us a call on 1800602586, for technical support and computer support. We will be more than happy to serve you.
