Make iGoogle Your Startup Page in Microsoft Outlook

I m a regular user of Microsoft outlook and I use iGoogle as my dashboard and as I m in habit of trying new things on my Windows XP desktop, I tried to combine both Microsoft outlook and iGoogle, which is really very simple to do…

In order to combine both of them, we have to create a new folder, and then give it a suitable name accordingly. Now right click on the new folder and choose properties, and then go to homepage tab, check the box for “Show my homepage by default for this folder”. Than write the url of iGoogle, which is - http://www.google.com/ig

You can change that anytime, and make any other web page as your homepage.

By now, we can view our iGoogle page as our homepage by just clicking on the folder.

Set iGoogle as the Default Startup Page

Open up the Options panel through Tools \ Options on the menu, and then choose the Advanced Options button on the other tab.

You'll see a setting for "Startup in this folder" with a Browse button next to it. Click that button and choose the iGoogle folder as your startup page.

Now when you startup Outlook, you'll be taken directly to your iGoogle dashboard and for the first time it asks for login.
